Our Story

History

Lander Labs, LLC was founded as an emergent solution to the outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Annie Cook, MS began her scientific career in 2013 while working in a high-complexity laboratory. Throughout the next 7 years, Annie focused on executive and laboratory operations in the healthcare field while she also earned her Master’s Degree in Pharmacy: DNA and Serology. The COVID-19 global pandemic made her eager to cultivate a laboratory that would effectively intersect her expertise with her respective interests. Lander Labs believes that what makes a business thrive is the passion that drives it.

ANNIE COOK, MS 

Annie’s academic career has led to three diplomas including an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree with accolades including Dean’s List nominee, Cum Laude honorary graduate, and Golden Key International Society membership for her status within the top 10% of her class. Professionally, Annie has experience operating successful healthcare and laboratory companies.

JOANIE APONTE | OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Joanie recently moved back to the Lander area from Ogden, Utah. While there, she completed the business program at the Ogden Weber Applied Tech College. She inducted into the National Technical Honor Society for outstanding student achievements. Community is important to Joanie; she volunteers when she can for a variety of functions. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors and being in the mountains.

JENNIFER GARDNER, BSN | LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Jennifer’s academic career started in the military with the completion of the MLT course and an Associates in Laboratory Science. She continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Jennifer has experience training and working in a BSL-4 environment—meaning she worked in a military lab that housed the most dangerous biological agents including Ebola and Anthrax. She also has experience providing healthcare within a hospital, clinic, and home care environment.
